It seems that Nintendo accidentally used a Mario Render made by a fan on its website

Conformable Twitter user ujiidow, Nintendo made a big mistake: it seems that they accidentally used Mario’s unofficial rendering of UJiidow instead of a real one on the Super Nintendo World website that came into force yesterday. What is this, Among us?

Here are the two images, for reference, with unofficial one on the left and real one on the right:

… Yes, it’s hard to say, isn’t it? They both look like Mario, after all.

A subsequent investigation found that the creator of the imposter Mario also passes the coolest_luigi handle on Reddit, where they first posted the image. How suspicious. We are not saying that this is the classic plot “the younger brother becomes jealous, sabotages the brothers”, but we are not not saying that.

Of course, it’s not the first time Mario looks a lot like someone else, is it? We all played Super Mario Sunshineand we all know how that was played out.
