It looks like WWE is taking Pat McAfee off TV

Pat McAfee reportedly withdrawn from WWE television, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Meltzer, it was WWE’s decision, not McAffee’s. It is not known why WWE decided to lure him.

It seems that there is no timetable for his return, although it has been noticed that the impression is that it will be in the spring.

McAfee fought only twice in the NXT, but received heavy praise for his performance. Steve Austin appeared on ESPN’s “Monday Tailgate” last week and praised McAfee for his work.

“Hey buddy, [McAfee] put everything on the line, “Austin said. He’s heading for it. You know, I basically think his verbal skills – he catches everyone. But he’s not afraid to go there and put everything on the line, so you know, you wouldn’t expect that from a guy who hits a football. But Pat McAfee’s bastard, I think he’s doing a very, very good job. I give it a solid A. “

CM Punk recently praised McAfee, saying it was a better promo than anyone in the WWE.

“Many of them have to do with the circumstances, but everyone else on the show should feel embarrassed and later USE said they feel better, because @PatMcAfeeShow is a better promotion than everyone else on the shows, “Punk wrote on Twitter.” There is no reason to engage fully in battle. He is already the best thing in this show, without a name @RheaRipley_WWE

In an interview with Wrestling Inc. Last year, McAfee discussed how he trained for professional wrestling while in the NFL.

“I bought a wrestling ring in either the third or fourth year of the league. I built it in my barn and didn’t use it much, except at parties my friends’ kids would like to get into.” , said McAfee. “As soon as I retired, a guy named Rip Rogers who used to train at OVW and lived 10 minutes from my house was talking to me about rasslin.” He trained me 3-4 times a week to get in shape. and see if I would ever want to do it if I could or not. I hit my ass, chopped and bruised my chest, but I exploded. “

McAfee last fought in “Takeover: WarGames 2020” earlier this month. McAfee teamed up with Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch in a losing effort to Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish in a WarGames match.
