An elderly Scottish woman was found dead at her home after failing to show up for COVID-19 vaccine – and now authorities believe her body could have been there for up to 12 years, reports say .

Christina Malley, who is said to have been 80 years old, was discovered last month at her home in Cover, where she lived with her husband, Daniel, Daily Record reports.

The nurses went home to look for Malley after he did not show up for the vaccination program, media reported.

When the authorities beat her, her husband said he had gone abroad, the press reported.

But her body was later discovered inside the house, prompting a police investigation.

Police are still working to determine how he died, but said he may have died 12 years ago, media reported.

A police spokesman confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body at home.

“Death is being treated as inexplicable and investigations are ongoing,” a spokesman told reporters.

Neighbors were amazed to learn that Daniel had been married.

“I’ve never seen him with a wife in all the time I’ve lived here,” said one husband to the Sun.

“It makes me shiver when I think he could have been in the house all the time. Why was there no smell or flies? It’s so weird. ”
