It is a golden opportunity to finish strong

Coach Rhule was known as a defensive coach in college and seems to have translated well into the NFL game. Most coaches who make the leap tend to struggle to replicate their college success. What do you think about coach Rhule and the prospects for his future success in the NFL?

He’s the only NFL head coach to follow me on Twitter. However, I don’t think it was personal. He had just started to climb the ladder as a coach and no longer had to follow random writers on social networking sites. Joking aside, I love Rhule’s energy, passion and the way he communicates. He is a proven builder. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has the Panthers compete again in the playoffs in the not-so-distant future.

I’m a football season ticket holder at Southern Illinois University and I’ve had the pleasure of watching Jeremy Chinn for four years. He is the real deal. I hope Jeremy has a good game, but we still win the game. I sent Spoff’s comment and response to our athletics department this morning. We’ve had some outstanding players over the years: Jim Hart (QB St. Louis Cardinals), Brandon Jacobs (RB NY Giants), Mycole Pruitt (TE Titans), Bart Scott (LB NY Jets) and Tom Baugh (OL Bengali) .

Chinn is an interesting young football player, and the Panthers are really using their versatility to its full potential. He is a big part of Carolina’s bright future in defense.

Good morning Insiders, and happy weekend. Have you ever seen a team in week 15 with a shorter trip (literally) to the Super Bowl? If the Packers continue to take care of business, they only have a 32-minute flight to Chicago in the next six weeks before the charter to Tampa. The advantage at home can be one thing, but nothing exceeds cooking at home, family and your own bed.

It’s a golden opportunity to finish strong. Rodgers has been talking since the Packers’ loss to Atlanta in the 2016 NFC Championship Game about his desire to make his way to the Super Bowl through Lambeau Field. The ball is in the Packers’ court. They can do this in the next 15 days.

Hi Mike and Wes, I’ve read a lot of questions debating the benefits on my own in the pandemic season. For what it’s worth, I used to earn my living before COVID and the mental and physical stress of going to the airport, being stuck in a plane and not sleeping in my own bed really affects you physically! Some of the younger boys on the list may not feel this way, but by the age of 28, I stopped waiting to fly. Good luck to the number 1 pack, Go Pack Go!

Exact. It’s much easier to get out of bed in Green Bay and go to the office than to get on a plane and fly halfway across the country.

Hello, now that the Packers have managed at least one playoff game at home, would it be to their advantage to continue with a relatively empty Lambeau? Do you attribute any of the successes of the Packers to the quieter stadiums? From a personal point of view, the possibility of having Packers football this year has really made a difficult period more tolerable – I am very grateful for that and I will not take it for granted in the future. Thanks, Merry Christmas and GO PACK GO!

It’s probably a bit of both. I think it helped Rodgers become even more dangerous because of his cadence and offensive communication, but it’s also harder to get to play in a game without a crowd. The packers adapted to it, however, as the season progressed.

You can have a player back for stretching (and hopefully) through the playoffs we’ve lost through free agency in recent years. Who would it be and why?

Micah Hyde. The guy could play anywhere, which would be valuable right now with Raven Greene in the injured reserve.

Gordon of Newport Beach, CA.

Wes, when Mike Pettine mentioned the other day that “offensive penalties have been reduced,” could you extrapolate that to include defensive possession?

It’s funny how it doesn’t seem to have dropped at all, does it?
