Isabelle from Animal Crossing is kind of sad to see the end of 2020

During Animal Crossing: New Horizons“On New Year’s Eve, Nintendo Switch fans were treated to a surprising dialogue right at the beginning of the game. It seems that everyone’s favorite villager Isabelle is a little disappointed when she saw that 2020 is coming to an end. While most people around the world are more than happy to see 2020 thrown in the trash, Isabelle sheds a few tears, noting how much the year has meant to her. In any other year, this exchange probably wouldn’t raise an eyebrow, but 2020 is a different year than any other and most are more than happy to see it!

Of course, Isabelle can’t be blamed for enjoying 2020! The character received a wonderful job working for Nook, Inc., where she ends up spending every day talking to locals about her TV viewing habits, the day’s events, and more. New Year’s Eve is a particularly notable day for the character, as it gives him a rare work day to spend outside the Resident Services building; she didn’t even get this for her birthday this year!

Players can see Isabelle with Tom Nook outside the building during the game’s New Year’s Eve event. During the festive festivities, players will also have the opportunity to catch some free items in the form of Light Stick and Party Popper. Tom Nook never leaves the opportunity to make a few bells and therefore will also have party hats for sale. Regardless of the players’ expenses, they can count until the end of the year thanks to a huge clock in front of the Resident Services. After the midnight blow, fireworks will take place and will last until 2 in the morning

For those who will not have the opportunity to attend a personal party this year, tonight’s event should be a fun way to celebrate the end of 2020 (even if Isabelle is sad to see her)!
