It could be the latent franchise of EA The edge of the mirror to come back This is the question some fans have been asking after a recent tweet from Electronic Arts hit the internet. Although there is nothing specific about the message indicating a rebirth of any kind could be in the works, it is quite strange to see, because EA has not talked about the series for years at this time.
The tweet in question was distributed to the EA account for the region of France, where it shared a blurred image of one of its games. Written in French, the subtitle asked the fans if they knew what game the image came from. Based on the iconic red gloves that could be seen somewhat clearly in the image, the answer was obviously that of The edge of the mirror.

While this tweet might have been just a fun way for EA to try to engage with fans, others found it strange that the publisher would bring The edge of the mirror like this. Some people on the internet immediately began to wonder if this tweet could be specifically the first teasing of a future rate from The edge of the mirror series.
In all likelihood, however, this is certainly not the case. Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, which is the latest franchise entry, released in 2016. However, the game did not go very well in terms of sales. Not to mention, he was not as well received as his predecessor. Overall, to see EA coming back to make another game in The edge of the mirror the series seems rather unlikely.
However, this does not mean that we will never see The edge of the mirror return in any quality. If nothing else, maybe a remaster or remake of the first game might appear at some point in the future. If this happens, however, this tweet does not seem likely to be such an indication that it is happening.
