If you are not connected to all the details about your iPhone, you may not be aware of a very interesting feature. Thanks to the good nerds of TikTok, many discover that there is a tool hidden from view: the Apple logo on the back of the phone. Yes, it is an instrument / sensor / button.
This tok, from Brit Brown, was posted in October 2020 and shows users how to program their apple to perform functions such as taking a screenshot, opening a certain application or blocking the screen. It makes sense for the place to be touch sensitive (Apple products are increasingly glassy and touch-based), but seriously, how come we haven’t noticed this before? We’ve been on our phones literally all day.

Remember, it’s a double tap, so if your tech-savvy parent has trouble making this hack work, it could be the reason.
Brown seems to be demonstrating his tutorial on the iPhone 11, so it’s safe to say that this feature will work if you have that iPhone version or a later version. When Apple launched the iPhone 7, we revealed nine hidden features in the device, so hopefully everyone can learn something new today. And if you have the latest iOS, why not customize your home screen? (Remember when everyone was doing this a few months ago? Time doesn’t exist in pandemic times.)
Unfortunately, none of the hacks here or on TikTok address the obvious problem by adding a feature to the Apple logo: most people keep their phones in a case. And usually this case covers the logo. Now, if the company could produce a product that didn’t break into a million pieces when it was dropped, that it would really be a feature we could use.
