Apple’s “Spring Loaded” event has just ended, giving us something new iPads and iMacs, but one minor thing remained unanswered – when will iOS 14.5 come? We certainly expected Appleto mentions at least the next software update during the event, but still, iOS 14.5 deserves only a footnote in the AirTag press release.
Indeed, iOS 14.5 is scheduled to arrive starting next week, which means you should expect it from April 26th.
iOS 14.5 is a pretty big update, which brings a lot of important new updates for the iPhone. Probably the most important is the application transparency tracking function, which requires applications to ask users before they can keep up to date with their data and activity, which triggered the confrontation between Apple and Facebook earlier this year.
Siri will no longer be a female voice by default, users are asked to choose a male or female voice once you turn on Siri for the first time. There will also be more than 200 new emojis, including contemporary changes to the syringe emoji and more skin tones for couples to kiss.
iOS 14.5 will arrive on all iPhones which supports iOS 14, but most of the new features will only work on the latest iPhone 12 devices.
