“The person who boarded the plane declares that he has no possibility to take the test, it reaches the country and is tested while maintaining isolation while its result arrives. It facilitates the process and allows that when arriving in the country there is no problem “, said Ruiz.

The passenger must inform the migration officer at the time of the immigration check if he or she has a negative PCR test for covid-19 performed 96 hours before boarding or if he or she chooses to take the test in Colombia and preventive isolation until they have a negative result; or carry out a quarantine of 14 days or for the duration indicated by the health authority, if you choose not to take the test in Colombia.
You must also inform the address where the preventive isolation will be stored. “These manifestations will be registered in the immigration system”, it is shown in the administrative act.

It is also mentioned that the passenger can keep the quarantine days at the place of residence or accommodation. The value of the PCR test and the costs arising from preventive isolation will be the responsibility of the traveler.
The Ministry of Health at the place of disembarkation and / or destination will be responsible for verifying that the passenger maintains preventive isolation. “We will review the epidemiological situation in the country and determine whether there will be a new decision in the future, but we will have this work orientation,” the minister concluded.
