A few notes
- Chiefs who ran back Darwin Thompson (illness) and linebacker Damien Wilson were officially convicted outside for the game. The right attack Mike Remmers (back) is doubtful. When Remmers was injured last week, rookie Yasir Durant came on.
- With the additional news that left him on the attack, Eric Fisher (back) is official questionable, head coach Andy Reid was asked about the potential impact on the offensive line.
- REID: “One of the good things, if there’s one good thing – the way it’s set up now is that you can have these veteran players on your training team, so you have enough people here. I think it’s kind of a neat business. It’s a bit of a storage area or a farm system, whatever you want to call it, but it’s good to have those guys and we managed to bring a few types of players into different positions. So, it helps you in this kind of situation. If Remmers can’t go, then we have guys who have played in the league and can come in and play. “
- Fisher practiced with a full Friday’s appointment, a good sign for his availability; Wilson will miss his second consecutive knee game.
- Both right guard Nick Easton (concussion) and wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) were led outside for the Saints. Thomas’ absence from the game is especially significant, as he is the most talented receiver of the Saints.
- Chiefs quarterback Byron Pringle and Saints defender Drew Brees have been assigned to return from the injured reserve, but they are not on the list yet, so they do not appear in the report. Their additions are expected on Saturday, and Brees is expected to begin.
