Cuba’s National Baseball Commission (CNB) has acknowledged the detection of six other cases of Covid-19 in the Industriales team, so after the diagnosis of five positives last week, there are 11 patients in the ninth most followed by the Cuban ball.

The CNB statement assures that “all sick athletes are hospitalized and receive the care established by the national health system”.

The authorities have ensured that they assess the causes and conditions that motivated the contagion, as set out in the national Series 60 Regulations.

After learning of the contagion on December 16, CNB decided to suspend the secondary series matches between Industriales and Pinar del Río, a province where the capital’s residents had traveled and from which they returned after learning about the outbreak.

On that occasion, a source close to the athletes assured DIARIO DE CUBA that the detection tests for the new coronavirus were extended to all players in Pinar del Río and those in Isla de la Juventud, a team that had faced the citizens of the capital. the weekend before.

To date, there has been no information on the outcome of these tests.

Industriales spent most of the season with some of its top figures on the roster and, with a dozen games left until the end of the regular season, is still outside the qualifying zone.
