Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) gave the flag to Lindavista Temporary Care Center qIt was installed in the General Hospital of the Area (HGZ) no. 24, with 40 hospital beds for convalescing from Covid-19.
The Director General of IMSS, Zoé Robledo, indicated that a strong team has been formed between health institutions and the Mexican City government to participate in the pandemic in Mexico Valley Metropolitan Area given the increase in the number of infections and assured that it will reach high-occupancy hospitals.
He stressed the effort of the federal government, so that the medical staff treating COVID-19 to be the first to be vaccinated, because in the emergency of their health they are the ones who remained in the first line of care of patients with this disease.

The head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, recalled that from December 15, 2020 until now, in the metropolitan area of the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM) the capacity of the hospital for the care of Covid-19 has increased by 42%, which represents about 3,000 beds and which was possible due to the coordination of all health systems.
“If we think that a hospital has 120 beds, which means reaching 3,000 additional care beds, the conversion of hospitals, hospitals that have already been converted again and that have been converted again, new hospital beds in units an extraordinary effort like this that was made in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico “, he underlined.

In the meantime, the Director General of ISSSTE, Luis Antonio Ramirez Pineda, stated that the health sector carries out a coordinated activity and maintains a constant communication to support and provide the service to any citizen who needs it.

The temporary care center is located on the esplanade of Subdelegation 1 north of IMSS, Mexico City and has 40 hospital beds to enhance health care for convalescent patients treated with Covid-19.
The human resource consists of 33 doctors, 99 nurses, 35 paramedics, six technicians and seven administrative staff; for workers and the reception of inputs there is an alternative input and differentiated flows to avoid cross-infections.
The unit has 40 vital signs monitors, four transfer fans pediatric-adult, eight ventilators, four red carts with complete equipment for resuscitation with defibrillator, pacemaker monitor, electrocardiograph and radiological unit.
