Improvements to the Guilty Gear Strive online lobbies detailed in the new trailer, Mode Story to be a match-free viewing experience

A new trailer featuring the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive game modes has hit the Internet as Arc System Works continues to revitalize the community for a new chapter in Guilty Gear action.

Arcade, Story, Training, Versus and other modes are detailed, but we were especially pleased to see that improvements were made to the tumultuous online lobby system.

The developers highlight the different ways players can start exploring Strive according to their personal preferences. Those who hope to start perfecting their skills and immediately prepare for a competitive game can jump into training or tutorial modes that place users directly in situations where they will find themselves during real matches.

Although there was some confusion during the beta testing of the online lobby at Strive in the middle of last year, it seems that the ArcSys team worked to level things up and make the processes more enjoyable. Players can wait in training mode to be connected with an opponent and will be matched with enemies of the appropriate skill level.

ArcSys takes an interesting approach to Story Mode, as it seems to be a viewing experience only. While traditional fighting game modes of this type almost always take breaks in stories for users to play occasional rounds (often with special provisions or handicaps), it seems that the action is limited to Arcade mode.

In fact, we have some more information about these modes thanks to the textual explanations that appeared on the Guilty Gear Strive website about two weeks ago, so be sure to check them out for more details after watching this recent trailer.
