Immanuel Quickley receives Kyrie Irving’s lesson in the first Knicks start

Nets goalkeeper Kyrie Irving taught the child a lesson in the second trimester, putting a series of forgeries and spinning movements on the Knicks starter, Immanuel Quickley.

Irving eventually moved away from Quickley for an undisputed stretching of his fingers.

In his early NBA career, losing to the Nets on Monday, Quickley had a learning experience, but was hard-pressed in the spotlight nationally.

“There was definitely intensity throughout the game, going against Kyrie, James Harden,” Quickley said. “It simply came to our notice then. It was great to start with and it will help me get down the road. ”

Regarding the sequence in which Irving faked him out of his white Knicks shorts, Quickley said, “He’s a great player to play with, but I have a growth mindset that will help me get down the road.”

Quickley scored 21 points, but shot only 4 for 12 in the 3-point range.

With the Knicks decimated on guard, missing the first two boys from Elfrid Payton (hamstring) and Derrick Rose (COVID-19 protocols), coach Tom Thibodeau put Quickley ahead of Frank Ntilikina, who served as support for Quickley and failed in 16 minutes.

Ntilikina was scoreless for the third game in a row, going 0-for-5 and 0-for-4 on 3s. But Thibodeau credited Ntilikina’s defense in the fourth quarter for helping Knicks return.

Quickley led the offense to an 18-11 lead after hitting a hard base float over Jeff Green. When Ntilikina came in for Quickly, everything fell apart. The Nets engaged in a 14-2 race and a second unit that did not suddenly have Quickley in it was fried.

Knicks’ radio team, Ed Cohen and Brendan Brown, have been ruled out indefinitely because the duo are in health and safety protocols, The Post reported.

Cohen and Brown have been the radio team, listened to locally on ESPN Radio for the past three seasons. Brown, the son of Hubie Brown and a former assistant in Memphis, has been a Knicks radio analyst since 2008. Cohen and Brown, in their fourth season together, did not travel with the team during the pandemic season, but call home games from the garden.

John Giannone and John Wallace will work as a radio broadcasting team until further notice.

Austin Rivers, who was fired from the rotation before going on paternity leave, is not expected to face his father Doc’s team, Sixers, on Tuesday. Thibodeau indicated that Rivers’ fiancée was still waiting. Knicks said he left for “personal reasons.”

“It’s hard to say just because with paternity, when she has the baby and is ready to return, she will return,” Thibodeau said. “We give him all the time he needs.”

Mitchell Robinson (hand surgery) was first seen by the media, shooting without distribution. He’s been gone for five weeks.

“It’s making progress,” Thibodeau said. “It simply came to our notice then. In fact, he is doing well. HE still has to go through contact in practice and such things. But hopefully it will be soon. ”
