Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay was forced to deny that he was one of the revolters in the US Chapter on Wednesday, after he started switching to social networks.
Twitter users noticed the resemblance of one of the rebel’s Vikings’ horns to Kay’s flamboyant hat, which he often wore during the show.
“Good morning Washington, loving the hats, but I’m not sure it’s my crowd.” the English singer posted on Twitter on Thursday. “Stay safe everyone, J xxx.”
The heavily painted man was identified as Jake Angeli, 32, a supporter of QAnon and a regular participant in Arizona’s far-right rallies.
Kay, 51, also posted a video in which he said in an exaggerated American noise: “Good morning world! Now some of you may think you saw me in Washington last night, but I’m afraid I wasn’t with all those weirdos. “
Then he switched to his British native accent and wished everyone a happy new year and thank you for the birthday messages.
Kay noted that the UK is once again blocked because of COVID-19 and added: “The way we treat our animals, grow them, put them in cages, everything else, we will continue to get this again and again. . . We hope we will try to learn our lesson. ”
The English funk and acid jazz band formed in 1992 and recorded the MTV video of the year for the song “Virtual Insanity”.
