I have written extensively about the ridiculous and worrying trend of the “natural improvement for men” supplements that are mentioned. They have the most ridiculous names and are sold by companies you’ve never heard of and probably can’t pronounce. They are almost always imported from abroad, where drug regulations are more relaxed and often include prescription drugs that could be harmful to your health. Now, to everyone’s surprise, the FDA has issued another recall for two supplements that promise drug-free performance boosts, but are actually just prescription drugs.
Premium OrgaZen 7000 and Ginseng Power 5000 are distributed by a “company” called NS NY Distributor Inc. and both promise improvements in male performance without a prescription. As we have seen a million times before, the pills are not actually natural supplements, but come packaged with sildenafil and / or tadalafil, which are the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis, respectively. I’m completely shocked.
From the FDA recall alert:
NS NY Distributor Inc. voluntarily recalls all batches at the expiration of the Premium Orgazen 7000 and Ginseng Power 5000 capsules at the consumer level. FDA analyzes found that the products contained undeclared sildenafil and / or tadalafil. Sildenafil and tadalafil are known as phosphodiesterase inhibitors (PDE-5), found in FDA-approved products for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction. The presence of sildenafil and / or tadalafil in Premium OrgaZen 7000 and Ginseng Power 5000 makes them new unapproved drugs for which safety and efficacy have not been established and can therefore be withdrawn.
The “voluntary” appointment of the recall is full of humor, because the company has no choice. You cannot sell over-the-counter medications just because you have labeled them as supplements. It doesn’t work that way, but as we’ve seen before, these “companies” really don’t care. They will close, come up with another stupid brand name and sell exactly the same pills I remember now, only with different packaging.
Over the years, the FDA has cracked down on dozens and dozens of such brands (which are rarely trademarks and come in packaging that makes them eye-catching when they sit on a gas station counter), but the problem persists. They still end up being sold to retailers across the country and even online through Amazon and other outlets. It’s absurd, but he just gets away with it.
Honestly, if you take these types of supplements because you do not want to have an awkward conversation with your doctor, you are endangering your health. Getting a real treatment for erectile dysfunction is the best bet, and trusting these randomly imported pills with names like “OrgaZen” will either do absolutely nothing, or if they contain prescription drugs, you could end up doing serious harm. your body. Stay safe and take the medicine from a doctor instead of the gas station official.
