Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity had a strong launch in November. Becoming the best-selling Musou game of all time, it presented an extremely enjoyable prequel Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, starting just before the calamity.
It was already a pretty complete experience, but it doesn’t seem to be over yet. Confirmed in the latest Nintendo Direct, Age of Calamity receives an expansion permit. Shortly after the presentation, Nintendo released this statement:
Expand your mission to save Hyrule with future downloadable content as two waves of DLC come to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass. Recently added characters, scenes and more are on the way, the first wave will come in June and the second will appear in November. Players who purchase this Nintendo eShop Expansion Pass for £ 17.99 / $ 19.99 will receive both waves of DLC as they are released. They will also receive an additional weapon and suit in the game for Link as a purchase bonus starting at 28of May. The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass will be available for purchase shortly after the presentation.
Following is the example of Breath of the Wild, which also saw an expansion Pass with two waves of DLC. We won’t see this new content arrive until May, but you can pre-order it now through Switch eShop.
