Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity it had a pretty great launch for the most part. Although sales for Koei Tecmo’s hack-and-slash series aren’t usually great, his status as a Wild breath the prequel raised it unquestionably.

Within a week of launch, Age Of Calamity had already sold an impressive 3 million units in one week. Presented in their latest financial report, Koei Tecmo revealed that it has delivered 3.5 million units worldwide since the end of December.

This makes it the best seller Musou game of all time, but does not seem to become one of Nintendo’s evergreen titles, such as Breath of the Wild. It is clear that sales are declining quite significantly after the initial launch period.
