Hypothetical trade with Chicago Bears for QB Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson’s exaltation to the Chicago Bears does its best. This after it was revealed that the Pro-Bowl defender would consider the transaction for four teams, including the Bears.

Although Wilson did not request a transaction from the Seattle Seahawks, it seems that he is not satisfied with the lack of protection on the offensive line. So there are definitely tensions between the two sides. It remains to be seen whether the result is a transaction.

But even if Wilson is not yet on the block, CEO Ryan Pace should knock on the door of the Seahawks to have a chance to bring a star defender to Chicago – especially considering he would save his own job after 2021.

Pro Football Focus proposed a hypothetical transaction from Bears, which would include some defensive pins and a pair of selections from the first round.

The Bears would receive Wilson for the following:

OLB Khalil Mack CB Jaylon Johnson 2021 first-round pick 2022 first-round pick

It’s hard to say that there’s a player who’s not on the table when it comes to trading for a star defender – especially for a franchise that has historically been bad at the defensive position. Even a stud like Mack.

While Chicago seems to be the least attractive of the four options – along with the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders – Wilson would have liked to have the opportunity to return the Bears franchise.

However, if Chicago offers the most, the Seahawks already have a green light from Wilson to share it with the Bears. That might help, too The saints might be interested in asking Teddy Bridgewater and Cowboys working to keep Dak Prescott in Dallas.

But we get over it here. Seattle insists they have no plans to change Wilson this offseason and we’ll see if they follow that plan.
