Awesome Games Done Quick returns today for an online version in 2021. If you’re not familiar, the popular charity marathon regularly features a crowded program that deals with the speed of various video games streamed live online and from historical view, included an in-person event that people can attend. Although the coronavirus pandemic is still ongoing, things will be a little different this year.
The full event starts today and should be ongoing as you read this. The first is a The edge of the mirror run, and the day should end with Pikmin 2. The full program of the event is available online and, as usual, there should be archives of the races that go up after the fact. As usual, you can watch the full event as it happens on its own on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel. Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 Online is set to end in the early hours of Sunday, January 10 after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time run.
Because it is a charity marathon, Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 Online will support the Cancer Prevention Foundation, a non-profit organization in the United States focused on cancer prevention and early detection. All donations made to the event go directly to the foundation. Last year’s event raised over $ 3.16 million for nonprofits and, as always, there are all intentions to break this number this year.
