How to unlock the immortal shores of dead cells

dead cells fall fatal stage of fractured altars

Dead cells has recently become much larger. This week Fatal Falls The expansion adds a crop of weapons and enemies to the game, plus two new biomes. The problem is that, in fact, accessing these two areas – Fractured Shrines and Immortal Shores – avoids simple explanations. Classical Dead cells, right? Here’s how to find them.

Fractured altars

It is easy to reach. After you defeat the first boss – I tend to follow the route that sees me face to face in front of the concierge, on the Black Bridge – you should see an elevator in the next anteroom. Take her upstairs. Pretty easy.

When you reach the end of the Fractured Shrines biome, you will encounter a door to the immortal shores. Unless you have explored every pixel of the Fractured Sanctuaries, it will be locked, with no explicit direction on how to unlock it.

Remember the two statues on each side of the door – especially how he wears hooded robes. Look for a corpse wearing that outfit. It will be hidden against a sarcophagus in a dusty corner of the procedurally generated aspect of the scene.

Once you find the corpse, you will need to use the Runa Homunculus (right thumb, at least on the Switch) to detach your “head” from your body and hold this corpse. From the There, make your way through the rest of the level as usual. (Don’t worry, you’ll keep your gear.) The statues guarding the door should shoot the opposite Gandalf and let you through. You will also unlock the plan for the Cultist outfit, which, as a bonus, costs only one cell to unlock.

(There is a potential hiccup: Since you only receive Runa Homunculus after you have successfully completed the first round, it is not clear whether or not players who have not done so will be able to access Undying Shores. Kotaku contacted the Motion Twin developer for clarification.)

You only have to do this once; the door to Undying Shores will remain open in future races. It seems that there is a boss at the end of the stage, an alternative to Time Keeper, who appears in the Clock Room scene. I’m pretty rusty at Dead cells so for now, I have no idea what this new enemy is like or how the hell you defeated him. Good luck!
