Once you feel comfortable with the basics of Monster Hunter Rise, the real game of grinding rare materials for high-level equipment can finally begin. Although you should normally wait for a scene every time you complete a mission, a simple trick allows players to skip this short vignette, reducing downtime between hunts.

I was aware of this trick by the competitor of the fighting game Zerpin, but the secret spread quickly inside Monster hunter community after INCREASELaunch on March 26. The technique involves hanging in the air with the game’s new Wirebug mechanic as the mission nears completion, which, for some reason, makes it bypass the post-mission scene.

In the video above, I show you how missions usually end and then demonstrate the easiest way to use the Wirebug trick. While you are in the air – either jumping from a height or closing in the air with ZL + X – by pressing the A button, the hunter will suspend you above the ground for a few seconds. Fortunately, this window is quite generous, so it should be easy to take advantage of even after searches that end in a countdown, as long as you reduce the time.

People on Monster hunter subreddit noted that the script fails to play and in other situations, as when the player runs on a wall, is knocked down by an explosion or caused by paralyzed conditions and sleep.

Monster Hunter Rise is a fun new addition to the long-running franchise, and this trick should go a long way toward making it even more fun for those experiencing final gaming equipment. Again, some of the mission completion scenes involve connecting with your companions – cat and dog species known as Felynes and Canynes, respectively – so you may not neglect them every time you complete a search.
