How to measure the health and mental well-being of an SME | SMEs

The health and well-being of a company’s employees also influence the work environment and whether or not they do their job. Therefore, the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work has developed a questionnaire to measure how SMEs take care of these issues.

The document contains 26 questions about mental health and well-being in the company. The employer must answer them by evaluating from 1 to 4 the performance in his company. In this sense, 1 is equal to “nothing”, while 4 is “total”.

Days and working conditions

The questionnaire aims to raise awareness among companies about the importance of mental health and well-being. In addition, you want to help them improve in those areas where they are not acting properly.

The employer will answer questions about the following:

– Working hours.

– Organizing work in the company.

– Working conditions.

– Adaptation of positions to the condition of the worker.

– Hiring people with mental health problems.

– Employee training.

– Workers’ participation in decision-making.

The aim of the questionnaire is for each SME to be able to assess the health and mental well-being of its workers. As a result of the pandemic, there are aspects that influence the professional performance of the workforce. Through this self-assessment, the entrepreneur will have reliable results regarding the state of his company. Once you have them, you can take the necessary steps to improve those aspects in which you do not act correctly. From the National Institute of Health and Safety I remember that the change in this regard will improve the performance of employees and the company.
