If you have been waiting for COVID-19 vaccines to become easier to find in Michigan, now is your time.

This week, vaccine supply has increased and appointments are available at clinics across the country, as well as through several walk-in clinics open to Michigan residents.

As of April 21, 45.6% of Michigan adults have received a single dose of the vaccine, while 31.5% are fully vaccinated. About 63% of the age group over 65 are fully vaccinated.

Here are the best options for finding an appointment with the COVID-19 vaccine right now:

More and more vaccination clinics are opening, especially in Metro Detroit.

The inhabitants of Wayne County have three walk-in clinics are open Monday through Saturday, in Taylor, Belleville and Flat Rock. Residents and workers can schedule another vaccination meeting with the Wayne County Health Department by calling 866-610-3885.

Detroit residents have several clinics available, including the TCF Center, open Monday through Friday.

There are also walk-in clinics in Dearborn, St. Louis County. Clair, Calhoun County, Bay County, Lansing, Saginaw and others, depending on the day. Here we follow the latest news from our live blog.

Large pharmacy chains are widely available throughout the state, including Metro Detroit.

Also check with local independent pharmacies such as Ray’s drugs in Livonia, Clawson Care in Clawson or Royals Pharmacy in Ferndale. Many get the vaccine, some go for walks.

If you are a patient with a hospital system, you can probably book an appointment right now in your account, maybe MyChart.

But if you’re not, you can still book appointments. Ascension Michigan offers appointments to all 16 residents and in Southfield. Henry Ford Health offers appointments to all residents over the age of 16 at their clinics in Detroit, Jackson, Wyandotte and Troy.

  • Beaumont will offer vaccines on April 22 for anyone over the age of 16, you don’t have to be patient. (Beaumont Service Center, 26901 Beaumont Blvd. in Southfield between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.)

Most local health departments have clinics open this week or next week, with appointments for residents and workers.
