You may recall that last month, accessory maker Hori revealed that it will launch a Monster Hunter Rise edition of their popular Split Pad Pro controller. Previously, this was confirmed only for Japan, but now, a new Amazon list tells us that it will be launched in North America on April 26.
Costing $ 59.99, the Split Pad Pro is only usable in handheld mode, but it offers a good alternative for gamers who find Nintendo’s standard Joy-Con less. also little. Also included are a pair of additional buttons on the back of the controllers (which can be assigned to any other button you prefer) and a turbo function.
Here is the official description of the product:
Hunters can prepare to spot and defeat monsters with the special edition Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro (Monster Hunter). Re-experience the large controller experience in portable mode with large analog sticks, a precision d-pad and large shoulder buttons. Designed for comfort and accuracy, even during marathon hunting sessions.
Advanced features include allocable rear triggers, turbo functionality and more for complex attacks and commands. Perfect for high speed action RPG titles such as Monster Hunter Rise and many other genres. Improve your gaming experience with Split Pad Pro! Officially licensed by Nintendo and Capcom.
(Not a wireless controller – portable mode only. Does not include motion controls, HD Rumble, NFC or IR camera. Note: If you have problems with the switch that recognizes Split Pad Pro, please make sure all Joy-Con are off and not connected via Bluetooth.)
Rise’s Split Pad Pro doesn’t seem to be available in Europe yet, though you can still find previous options – including black, red and Pikachu.
