Honduras adds 200,259 infections and reaches 5,000 deaths caused by covid-19

Honduras 577 new cases of covid-19 and 20 deaths were added on Saturday, the National Risk Management System (Sinager) reported, warning of an increase in the number of infections.

Since the declaration of a health emergency in March 2020, the Central American country has registered 200,259 positive cases of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and accumulate 4,954 deaths from the virus, Sinager reported in its daily bulletin.

The National Virology Laboratory has applied 2,933 PCR tests in the last hours, of which 577 are positive, he added.

The number of hospitalized 1,163, with 598 in stable condition, 501 serious and 61 in intensive care units (ICU), said the health agency.

As for the people recovered, no cases have been reported today, so the number of people rescued from the death of the disease remains at 76,235, which began to expand more than a year ago in Honduras, a the country. over 60% are poor.
