Hollywood residents have a cow after the landmark has been erased

Hollywood residents had a real cow on Friday, when the iconic sign of the Los Angeles neighborhood was vandalized for the second time this year.

Three 20-year-old men were arrested after destroying the landmark by placing a cow’s head over the first “O”, LA Times reports, citing police sources.

Six people were arrested in February after exchanging signs with “Hollyboob”, including adult publisher “Shag Mag” Julia Rose, according to reports.

The cowboy prank could have been an advertising action of the local band Junior Varsity, TMZ reports.

The band recently released their first single, “Cold Blood”, which has a cow on the cover, while their social networks told people to “Look for the signs”, TMZ noted.

“It’s really unfortunate that people want to try to make a statement on the sign,” Hollywood Sign Trust President Mark Panatier told the Pan Times, calling the response from police and park rangers “spectacular.”
