Came back!
Hilaria Baldwin returned to social media on Friday, posting a moment of her with her husband Alec Baldwin and their five children.
The 37-year-old pseudo-Spaniard took a month off from the public eye after it was discovered that she was actually born Hillary Hayward-Thomas and grew up in Boston, unlike Mallorca as many people thought.
“I spent the last month listening, reflecting and wondering how I can learn and grow,” she began in a long caption. “My parents raised my brother and I with two cultures, the American and the Spanish, and I feel a real sense of belonging to both.”
She continued: “The way I talked about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been clearer and I’m sorry. I am proud of the way we were raised and we raise our children to share the same love and respect for both of us. On what we have built our community to be vulnerable and to push ourselves to learn and grow and I hope to return to the supportive and kind environment we have built together ”.
Hilary’s scandal came in December after a Twitter user called her with a simple remark: “We must admire Hilary Baldwin’s commitment to her decade-long complaint that she is imitating a Spanish person.”
From there, Hilary’s life exploded as clips reappeared, including one of them claiming she didn’t know the English word for cucumber on “Today.” He also tried to sign the 2009 tax return.
She later insisted she hid her background as a Bostonian to protect her parents’ privacy – who later moved to Spain.
Hilaria previously said she would take a break from the social networking platform in December, but posted only a few hours later.
Alec, 62, took a break on social media last month, vowing to stay away from Twitter following the scandal.
A representative for Hilaria did not return to us immediately.
