An adaptation of the Stardew Valley board game, a fan-favorite farming simulacrum, has been launched today and has plagued the indie world in recent years.
A trailer revealed (above) gives us our first taste of the look of the game, while an official site offers more details. The game is a cooperative experience that contains season books, villager books, tools, objects, cultures, minerals and more, all based on the video game, and was developed by Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone and Cole Medeiros, who previously worked on the board games Web of Spies and GUBS (thanks, Eurogamer).
Stardew Valley: The board game is a cooperative game in which players work together to restore the Valley. They do this by cultivating crops, raising animals, expanding their farm and collecting resources from across the valley.
By befriending local villagers, players win hearts that allow them to reveal hidden goals. Only by working together will they prevent Joja Corporation from moving and ruining everything.
So choose the profession and pick up the starting tool; Stardew Valley needs you!
If you are interested in picking this up, it is available to buy while we are talking right here for $ 55. Currently, it is only delivered to the US, although efforts are being made to make it available elsewhere.
The game’s store page notes that this “is not a quick casual game,” warning that those looking for a short period of play may not make the most of it. “While It is easy to play once you know the rules, “says the listing,” it’s meant to be a challenge. “
What do you think? Will you deal with this? Tell us in the comments.
