The 11 new deaths increase the state’s death toll to 6,875 during the pandemic. Of the total deaths, 62.4% (4,286) were residents in long-term care, including four of the most recent 11 deaths.

Forty percent of 16-year-olds in Minnesota received at least one stroke.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the test positive rate in Minnesota over the past seven days is 6.75%.
The World Health Organization recommends that a positive percentage rate (total of positives divided by total tests completed) of less than 5% for at least two weeks be required for the safe reopening of the economy. That 5% threshold is based on the total positives divided by the total tests.
