The city of San Antonio will begin distributing thousands of doses of COVID-19 vaccines this week, both Moderna and Pfizer.
To date, three vaccine distribution locations have been announced: Alamodome, the WellMed Elvira Cisneros Senior Community Center in the south and the Alicia Treviño López Senior Community Center in the west.
All these vaccination sites are officially launched on Monday, January 9 and many places have already been filled.
But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost if you haven’t been able to get a vaccine yet. City officials will keep the sites open in the coming weeks, and more residents will be able to register as more vaccines arrive in Bexar County.
Here’s what you need to know to show your name on the list:

- To register for the vaccine, visit covid19.sanantonio.gov/vaccine or call 311 and select option 8. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
- A total of 1,500 people a day can receive the vaccine on the Alamodome website.
- Anyone living in Bexar County or one of the other 26 municipal districts can come to Alamodome to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, according to city leaders.
- If appointments are full, you can keep up to date with vaccination schedules at covid19.sanantonio.gov/vaccine.
