original Pokémon Snap, released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, saw players riding the Zero-One stroller on the generically named Pokémon Island at the request of Professor Oak. We Pokémon Snap offers players a whole new region to explore, a new teacher to guide them and new ways to edit and share endless photos with adorable pocket monsters.

We are doing an ecological survey of the Lental region in We Pokémon Snap. Guided by Professor Mirror, we will once again ride the Zero-One, documenting wild Pokémon from various islands in the Lental region.

We will take photos with the pocket monsters that put their pocket monster, ranked from one to four stars depending on the composition of the photo, poses and how much of the photo frame is filled. Throwing special objects at Pokémon can change the way they behave, giving us the opportunity to capture rare poses. The camera can be used for both scanning and shooting, discovering hidden monsters and other secrets hidden in the landscape.

We Pokémon Snap it’s not just about completing a pokédex. We will also be able to edit our personal photos, add filters and stickers and upload them to the internet to be judged by our colleagues.

Although there are new layers and features in play, We Pokémon Snap it seems to have the same energy as the original 22 years ago. I can’t wait to sit and watch some pocket monsters when the new game decreases on April 30.
