Here’s everything you need to know about tomorrow’s winter update stream for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition

The stream Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition Winter Update will take place on Capcom Fighters Twitch, YouTube and Facebook channels tomorrow at 9 PT / 12 PM ET. In a new audio clip with Dan’s voice, we were promised some “juicy information” about Street Fighter 5 and Dan Hibiki as a playable character.

We have confirmation that the fighting director of Street Fighter 5, Ryuichi “Woshige” Shigeno, will come in and talk about Rose, the balance changes from season 5 and the new “mechanics” (remember “s”). Looks like this is going to be a pretty long flow.

Based on what was shown during the Garuda EX Layer Fighting costume trailer, we have reason to believe that Akuma could be hit with a nerve. It looks like Light Hurricane Kick will no longer be able to pass under opponents while they are juggling.

For now, we have no official confirmation of who is the fifth and final character in season 5, but Capcom seems to be alluding to Eleven, an early prototype of Twelve from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.

Eleven was seen during the story of Urien’s prologue and is said to have been remade as a raw material by Kolin to resurrect Nash. In Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Twelve was known for excellent air mobility and the ability to transform into other fighters.
