Here is the solution for a blurry Cyberpunk 2077 with NVIDIA DLSS enabled

I played for a while in Cyberpunk 2077 playing the game and I appreciate the amazing work that CD PROJEKT RED did with the game, with a few performance articles coming up next week to talk about everything – but there’s a problem: DLSS.

  • Left: Ordinary DLSS Right: LOD Bias texture -3

DLSS is the only performance saver in Cyberpunk 2077 for NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card owners, but it’s also an issue right now. If you play at 4K and activate DLSS and turn it into Performance mode, then the internal playback resolution drops to 1080p and man, it’s unclear.

I had to put DLSS in Quality mode so as not to be blurry, any other DLSS setting at 4K is too blurry. But … there is a solution, thanks Reddit user “kulind” who said if you edit the file Set LOD text bias to -3 via NVIDIA Profile Inspector, there is a significant improvement in texture clarity – you can see this in the comparative image above in Cyberpunk 2077.
