Multiple images with what seems to be the future 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and one of its AMG tuned gaskets leaked online before the car’s official debut. The photos reveal stylistic changes reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz CLS and a massive tablet screen instead of dials in front of the driver.

Australian site Which car, as well as Auto Express and several other outlets, displays filtered images of the C-Class. The changes are minimal compared to the current car, at least on the outside.

The images of the white model on a red background seem to be a luxury-oriented look, without performance. The new signatures of the design monkeys of the Mercedes CLS and CLA sedans, which were recently transferred to the E-Class and S-Class sedans.

Several images of another model, probably the AMG-Line version of the sedan, would also have leaked (coming from Which car). Some of the images were also shared by the Twitter user Search for JK. They now reveal AMG’s familiar gray car formula, with slightly wider aerodynamic openings and sportier design treatment on bumpers – though not much more. It is certainly just a modified upgrade of the current generation C-Class.

Bigger changes are coming inside. The first thing I notice is the massive iPad-type tablet, tucked between the top of the dashboard and the steering wheel. This screen replaces the previous digital display cluster that was, say, better integrated into a harmonious interior design look. This new screen looks like I should be able to take it with me when I leave the car.

The images inside also show the apparent heads-up display technology and a glass finishing treatment on the dashboard that surrounds a huge digital screen in the center.

The sharp angle taillights, the high line of the sloping shoulders and the new façade seem to make the C-Class stand out even less in the range than the current car, ironically enough. I think the Mercedes design approach is simply the same flavor in different sizes now. We should see more of the car by the planned disclosed date, February 24th.
