Cadillac used the Rolex 24 at Daytona to launch its first teaser 2022 CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwings before the official debut on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 19:00 ET. And, man, he looks gorgeous.
Since it is not official While still launching, Cadillac played boringly with its one-minute teaser, which you can see in full below:
Blackwings mimic their more traditional names, but these are Cadillac’s opportunities to really push the envelope in terms of looks, technology and air. As the teaser suggests, both vehicles will have six-speed manual transmissions as standard, but you’ll be able to opt for a 10-speed speed if you feel stronger.

The most obvious changes here are obviously the aspects, which are aggressive and, frankly, gorgeous. The front facade becomes a makeover to make it look more aggressive, and by adding a front splitter, rear spoiler and ducks on the CT4-V Blackwing, you’re obtaining some road-walking cars that would not look out of place on the racetrack. Black wings just look bad.
But we also get some great photos that I will let you enjoy:
Yes, they are teased forged magnesium wheels designed to both reduce weight and improve maneuverability. Yes, your steering wheel will be wrapped in leather and will have carbon fiber accents. Yes, you will feel that you are in the top of the world.
You will have to tune in official debut to get all the specs and performance specifications, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the CT4-V Blackwing takes a 3.0-liter V6 with two turbochargers or a 3.6-liter V-6 with two turbos. The CT5-V Blackwing, a larger car, could even get a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8.
IIf you are planning to buy one, you will want to give it a go. Soon after the presentation, Cadillac will accept 250 pre-orders from each Blackwing model with a refundable $ 1,000 deposit. After that, you will have to participate in a waiting list and hope for the best.
