One of Meghan Markle’s best friends, pilates instructor Heather Dorak, took to social media in defense of the Duchess in light of the increased tabloid election she faced before her and Prince Harry’s full interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“It’s hard for me to see her go through everything she has to do, because Meghan likes to hate the press,” Dorak began posting on Instagram. “Especially because she’s so far from Meghan I know. Sweet. Cute. They always appear! Two weeks ago, she was the first to surprise me with a gift after my knee surgery. 17 years ago, he entered my new Pilates studio and instantly became my rock in everything from the early ’20s – career, love, discovering how to adult. Since that day, it has never ceased to be one of my brightest sources of light. ”
She continued: “It may be hard to see, but it lives for the small, thoughtful things – flowers for no reason, a sweet, handwritten random note. She’s always been really wonderful … M, I love you. ”
Dorak’s feelings echo those of model Chrissy Teigen, who also came to Markle’s defense, suggesting that the negative attention she receives could have dire consequences for the pregnant public.
“This Meghan Markle hit too close to home for me,” Teigen posted on Twitter on Friday. “These people will not stop until they make a mistake. F-king stops him. ”
Buckingham Palace has announced its intention to investigate allegations of intimidation against Markle by a former staff member, even though others from Markle’s past have gathered in her defense.
Pauline Maclaran, author of “Royal Fever: The British Monarchy in Consumer Culture,” said this week that the Duke and Duchess’s upcoming CBS special is “a greater danger than the interview with Prince Andrew’s car crash.”
“I think Meghan will get a lot of sympathy, especially from the American public, for her unbearable position,” Maclaran said.
