Health reports 2006 new positive cases for COVID-19

This month’s Department of Health report reported one death of COVID-19, while 753 confirmed cases, 454 probable suspects and 799 additional suspects were recorded, for a total of 2,006 new positive cases, in samples taken from March 27 to April 10, 2021.

387 people are hospitalized, 12 less than in Sunday’s report.

Among those hospitalized are 364 adult patients, three fewer than the day before and 23 cases of children, nine less than on Sunday.

In the intensive care unit there are 72 adult patients, one less than the day before and one pediatric case, the same number as the previous day. While on the ventilator, there are 43 adult patients, one less than in Sunday’s report.

A total of 2,155 people died from Covid-19, one more than in Sunday’s report.

The reporting of deaths may vary as the processes of recording and coding the causes of death are carried out, which could take several days.
