Oswego County Health Department issued a warning today about potential coronavirus exposure at an Oswego barber shop. Health officials have confirmed a positive case of Covid-19 at the site, said Jiancheng Huang, Oswego County’s director of public health.
Anyone who visited Good Guys Barber Shop, 195 W. First St., Oswego between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., on Dec. 17, could have been exposed to the virus, health officials said.
People who visited the store at that time should be monitored for Covid-19 symptoms for 14 days, Huang said.
Symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, chills, repeated shivering, gastrointestinal disease, and a new loss of taste or smell, Huang said. People who experience these symptoms should call their home doctor. He should not go to the emergency services unless he is facing life-threatening symptoms, he said.

Oswego County has confirmed a total of 3,010 cases of coronavirus, including 62 new cases reported today. There were 22 deaths in the county.
