Jana Kramer filed for divorce from Mike Caussin.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old country singer and actress announced in an emotional post on social networks that she is separating from Caussin, 34 years old, after six years of marriage.
“‘It’s time.’ As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, these words have now become a reality, “she wrote on Instagram. “We all fought. I liked it hard. I forgave. I put my work at stake. I gave everything I had and now I have nothing to give.”
“Please know that I still believe wholeheartedly in marriage, love and rebuilding. I just can’t fight anymore. It’s time to heal,” she continued. “Thank you for all the love, heart and support, in the many ways you have fought on this journey with me, and for that I am grateful. I will always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you cannot fight alone. 💔 “

A source tells people that the divorce is due to infidelity, which the couple had previously separated in 2016.
“He cheated and broke his trust again,” the source said. “After fighting so hard for marriage, she came to terms with the fact that her role models will never change.”
“The focus is now on their children,” they added, referring to the children of the couple Jolie Rae, 5, and Jace Joseph, 2.
The news of the split comes seven months after the couple launched their book The good fight: The desire to leave, the choice to stay and the strong practice to love faithfully about consolidating their marriage after the former footballer sought treatment for sex addiction.

“I’ve only met a few women in my life,” the former NFL player wrote. Most of my relationships can be described more as “talking to”, which essentially means that I slept together, but I never got enough to involve my feelings. And when I got hired, I inevitably cheated. “
“Now, I loved and still love to be Jane’s husband, but at the beginning of the relationship I had no idea who I was,” he later added.
Kramer has been open about Caussin’s many deals in the past, especially in 2016, the same year the two separated. (They renewed their wedding vows in December 2017.)

“The pain consumed every thought and physically hurt me more than I thought I could handle,” she wrote in an essay for Good morning America. “Looking back, it seems like a terrible nightmare that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”
And while Caussin’s decisions were hard to swallow, she wrote that she “grew up in therapy” and “grew up as a partner” because of the work she “did on herself.”
About that time, in 2016 – when it was Dancing with the stars and received treatment for sex addiction – the couple revealed that Caussin filed for divorce and that the two had been separated for several weeks. (They read passages from their book Whine Down podcast.)
“Mike was in rehab and I was in a full-blown war with my emotions. Most days, I pushed Mike out of my brain and tried to live in the world as if he didn’t exist,” she read from The good fight. “Other days I was too weak to push and I missed him and I hoped he would be in public watching me perform, rooting for me.”
“There are so many days in the first year of reconciliation, after the discovery of my business, when we thought, ‘What’s going on? “Honestly, most of the days were like that,” he read from another passage in the book. “Needless to say, many of those days were full of pain and sorrow and sadness and despair.”

In late March, Kramer shared a selfie crying from an explosive fight between her and her husband.
“Nothing is perfect,” Kramer wrote then. “I took this photo to almost remind myself that, although at the moment it seems that everything is doomed, it is not.”
“No relationship is perfect and when there are explosions or fights, sometimes we think it’s over, but it really is a time of growth and more understanding and inclination in your partner,” she added.
“You just know it’s not the end of the world,” she continued. “And we all have these moments, so you’re not alone. The fights are happening. No relationship is perfect. Now, the important thing is that, in the end, you fight the good fight together? … you’re not alone in your fights xo . “
