South Southwest is currently (practically) underway and in the midst of all the film’s premieres – stay tuned to io9 for future reviews – this news has appeared: a horror short made during quarantine it has just been taken over by the director Timur Bekmambetov (Dorit, Hardcore Harry) to receive the feature film treatment.

This news from the deadline; short, Don’t look, is based on Animal Crossing, as well as the notion of familiar horror that things stay longer, scarier when it happens while you are alone in the dark. Creator Julian Terry made the short film last year and it is still available for viewing on YouTube, following his SXSW arc. Delight your eyes!

SXSW continues until March 20.
