Halsey apologizes to his followers after he posted a photo on Instagram of his past struggle with an eating disorder.
On Sunday, the 26-year-old singer posted a story on Instagram about “the lowest point”, a topless mirror selfie in which she looks extremely thin.

Monday, she wrote on Twitter, “I am very sorry that I posted a photo of myself depicting my fight with ED without a sufficiently trigger warning. I was very nervous to post it and I didn’t think correctly. I had positive intentions. I would never want to hurt anyone who shares my struggle. ”
She then added“With these words, I’m going to disconnect now, because this has turned into something I’m not emotionally equipped to handle at the moment. I hope it’s fine. ”
Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, has been open in the past about an eating disorder.
