In a new Q&A video, 343 Industries developer Quinn DelHoyo teases an “unseen” weapon that will be released in the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC games. Unfortunately, DelHoyo does not say much about this weapon, but suggests that he will fill the gap left behind by the standard rifle, which was eliminated in favor of a new automatic rifle, called the Bulldog.
Speaking of weapons, DelHoyo confirmed that both new and classic weapons will be added to the game after launch and, of course, pre-existing weapons will be adjusted and updated regularly. That being said, we won’t have to wait until the game launches to see more new weapons. DelHoyo confirms that there are new weapons. 343 Industries has not yet revealed that they will be available at launch.
Unfortunately, it is not known if the classic pistol will ever be one of these weapons. DelHoyo notes that there is room for the gun in sandbox mode, but at this point it looks like it won’t reach multiplayer. If he does, he will play the same as in the classic games, or at least that will be the goal. DelHoyo notes that the team wants to make sure all the inherited weapons feel like they did then.
More than with Halo 5, you have the sense that 343 Industries is not only extremely deliberate with everything they do Halo Infinite, but giving a little more respect to the legacy of the series, which is why Halo Infinite it exists in the first place.
There is no denying it Hate it was a much better and more popular product when Bungie was in the lead, so if you are 343 Industries, it is smart to use these old titles as much as you can.
Halo Infinite is in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC and is set to appear worldwide sometime this holiday season. For more information on the SF shooter and all the games, click here or check out the relevant links below:
