Halo 3 received its last new official map by 2009, as part of the launch of the Mythic II Map Pack. Now, 343 Industries has announced that a new map, presented for the first time in Hello online, will be added to the next round of Master Chief Collection beta testing.

In a blog post released today on Halo Waypoint, 343 announced a new round of flying for Master Chief Collection. Flighting is a series of limited beta tests for certain players. Thus, 343 tests future and future functions and changes. 343 says the new round of beta testing, which will include the new Hate Map 3 could begin immediately after February 18th.

This new map comes out of Hello online, an on-shut-shut-on tower only online Hate developed by Saber Interactive built with a modified version of Halo 3 motor. Launched only in Russia in 2015 through a closed beta and is no longer updated fans tried to way Hello online and be able to play it worldwide, but Microsoft has pushed back against these efforts. Many fans also asked about the bringing Hello online maps in MCC, and now 343 has gone and done it.

Based on a screenshot included in the post, the new map looks like a human military base located in some frozen glaciers. While 343 says it will be “a new map for Halo 3 from Halo Online” Hello online paper, does not match any of the maps that appeared in the closed game. It also does not look like any of the supposed ones canceled maps that were never added Hello online before stopping. In any case, screenshot URL included in the blog post mentions the name “Waterfall”, which is canceled Hello online Map which presented some frozen conceptual arts. However, what the map is actually remains a mystery. But getting a new map for one of the best shooters ever made is interesting.

There is still a lot to be excited about this future MCC Update. Master Chief Collection get a suitable server browser. Given how much content is packaged MCC, it can be difficult to find a specific match using the basic matching tools. The ability to scroll through a list of servers to find people playing Lockout Swords 24/7 at three in the morning sounds perfect.

I’m also glad that the FOV slider on the Xbox Series X will soon be running in 120hz mode and that the FOV sliders will be added to all Xbox versions of the game. FOV sliders for everyone!
