GTA Online had what appears to have been an extremely successful 2020 of all values. According to the developer Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto, exclusively multiplayer, managed to break records for the number of players and video viewing on different platforms, with the relatively recent addition of The Cayo Perico Heist certainly helping things. As part of a brief note of satisfaction from the players, Rockstar Games also introduced new content for the title.
Specifically, the Rockstar Games post requires players to “watch more holiday events in the near future for a chance to sign up for new equipment, a $ GTA bonus and a free vehicle in GTA Online,” for example. What it looks like, exactly, remains to be seen, but it seems that free content updates will continue to appear throughout 2021 and that the developer still has a few surprises in store.
