Some new comments from parent company Rockstar Games Take-Two Interactive have PS5 and Xbox Series X players looking forward GTA 6 a little worried and holding his wallets tight. On the PS5 and Xbox Series X, some games cost $ 70. On PS4 and Xbox One, the games never exceeded the $ 60 price we had for over a decade. And some games are still priced at $ 60, however, slowly but surely, publishers are heading for $ 70. Last year, Take-Two Interactive charged $ 70 for NBA 2K21 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. And now it looks like it may charge $ 70 for more games in the future, which has Grand Theft Auto fans on alert.
As you would expect, there have been some reactions to the price increase of some games, but apparently insufficient. At this month’s Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom conference, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that Take-Two believes consumers are ready for growth.
“I have announced a price of $ 70 for NBA 2K21, and our opinion was that we offer a series of extraordinary experiences, a lot of playback, and the last time there was a price increase in the first line in the USA was 2005, 2006, so we believe that consumers were prepared for that “, said the CEO.
Fortunately for Grand Theft Auto fans, Zelnick watched this noting that he and his team do not believe that every game will be this price, because not every game justifies the increase; however, it sounds as if his biggest games will make that leap.
“We haven’t said anything about the prices of other titles so far and we tend to make title-by-title ads, but I think our point is always to offer more value.”
At the same conference, Zelnick finally addressed rumors and speculation GTA 6however, surprisingly, his response was not very revealing.
