A person familiar with the probe told the paper that the call would be “watched” but warned that little is known about the call or that it violated the laws.
Kevin Bishop, a Graham spokesman, told The Hill that “it’s a ludicrous accusation that will be considered ludicrous.”
Senator Graham asked how the signature verification process worked. He never asked the secretary of state to disqualify a vote cast by anyone, ”Bishop said. “The timing of this is also quite remarkable. It seems like a less-than-transparent attempt to marginalize anyone who helps President Trump. ”
A spokesman for Willis told the Post that the office is investigating all attempts to improperly influence the conduct of the election.
Raffensperger told the Post in November that Graham asked if he had the authority to distribute ballots in counties with high percentages of mismatched signatures. Raffensperger also said Graham questioned whether pollsters had accepted ballots with mismatched signatures.
Graham, later a close associate of Trump denied pressure Raffensperger to do something illegal, and insisted he wanted to know more about the process.
Willis announced the probe on Wednesday, and instructed state officials to keep records of Trump’s January 2 phone call with Raffensperger, in which then-president told Raffensperger to “ find ” 11,780 votes, enough to roll back President Biden

The announcement came two days after Raffensperger’s office announced it opened a separate probe in Trump’s attempts to reverse the results of the 2020 election.
Biden narrowly won Georgia in the election, making him the first Democratic presidential candidate to hold the state since 1992. The state was often a target for Trump and his allies after the election in disputing the results.
Trump is facing impeachment charges on charges of instigating the January 6 riot at the Capitol, which disrupted the certification of Biden’s Electoral College victory.
