Governor Sisolak issues a new directive on live entertainment, remote requirements

CARSON CITY (KTNV) – In response to a request from Governor Steve Sisolak to conduct a reassessment of existing 25-meter distance requirements between artists and audience members and other live entertainment and music performance mitigation measures, the state epidemiologist and public health advisers made new recommendations.

Recommendations shall include a minimum separation of at least 6 feet for all shows and live performances only if the artists and performers wear a mask or face covering at all times during the show or a minimum separation of at least 12 feet for all performances and live performances when artists and performers are unmasked or temporarily and intermittently remove their masks or face coverings during performances. In addition to the existing mitigation measures for entertainment and live performances, public health advisers also urge performers to participate in the regular testing of COVID-19.
