Officials say that instead of each county having its own implementation plans, Ducey wants the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) to implement a state-led allocation model to ensure a unified approach to the vaccination of high-risk Arizonans and high priority.
In a tweet Wednesday afternoon, the governor said in part, “This is a health emergency, and we need to keep all levels of government and our health system running as such. Vaccines are no use sitting in a freezer.”
There is news across the country of delays in the distribution of the #COVID-19 vaccine are reported. While Arizona has avoided many of these issues, any delay in giving Arizonans recordings is unacceptable. 1 /

In addition, the governor says the state will report daily on the data on vaccine administration by county, giving the public full transparency on the distribution of the vaccine in the state.
Local health departments must also notify the ADHS within 24 hours of moving to the next stage of vaccine distribution. Ducey says this ensures that Arizonans have quick access to information to make informed decisions about their health and the health of their loved ones.
