Gord is a fantasy city builder with “adventure strategy” missions

Even though my city will deteriorate quickly and my tribe probably won’t survive, I’m down to try my luck

We will never run out of city builders and management games, but what about something like Gord? It is immediately distinguished by its roots in Slavic folklore, a prerequisite for survival and the ability to go in search. This is not a game to relax with, for sure.

As your settlement grows, you will have to deal with threats on many fronts: other tribes, strange beasts, famine and disease, shattered health, and even monstrous gods who can cast spells on your people. (I am willing to do potentially indescribable acts to gain powerful spells.) Taken together, Gord it looks like it will be in a space similar to that of games Frostpunk, RimWorld, and The darkest dungeon.

About those missions – Gord uses an “AI-driven” system, according to Covenant.dev. “The main objectives will guide your game, while versatile side missions and random encounters will send you into the wilderness to hunt a legendary creature or fight an ugly scourge that has infected the region.”

I also like the sound of custom scenarios in which “almost anything can be adjusted.” This feeling comes from a perspective of keeping things-fresh over time and also from the desire to win in the end with annoyingly low things; Do not starve comes to mind. Into the Gord, we will be able to change elements such as “the size of the level, the intensity of the raids, the environment in which you will play, the types of enemies you will face, the initial resources and even the severity of the weather. Of course, don’t forget the Horrors. “

The studio, founded by CD Projekt Red and 11-bit studio maker Stan Just, is looking forward to launching a computer by 2022 for Gord on Steam. We will definitely keep the tabs. There are many things to enjoy only in this first presentation.

Continue the wish list game on Steam as needed (or just the wish list in your heart).
